🏠We're a small team who got tired of the same fight. AuctGrid started as a joke between flatmates about who "always" ends up doing the dishes, and turned into the app we wished existed — something that settles it in seconds instead of another group chat spiral.
🔨Our mission is simple: replace the question with an auction. Put a chore up, pass one phone around the circle, and let each person say — out loud — how hard they'd rather not. Whoever pushes back least gets the job. No moderator required.

01Information We Collect
AuctGrid collects nothing. There is no sign-up, no login, no profile, and no form anywhere in the app that asks you for personal information. The names you enter for your household, the chores you create, and the history of past auctions exist only as data typed directly into your own device — none of it is gathered, logged, or transmitted to us or anyone else.
02How We Use Information
Because nothing is collected, nothing is used. We do not analyze your household's habits, we do not build profiles of who dodges the dishes, and we do not sell, rent, or share any information to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties — there is simply nothing on our end to share.
03Data Storage
Everything AuctGrid remembers — the current reserve balances, the chore log, the auction history — is stored locally on the single device the app is installed on. There is no cloud account, no server-side database, and no sync between devices. The whole point is that one phone gets passed by hand; your data stays exactly where the phone stays.
04Third-Party Services
AuctGrid does not integrate third-party analytics software development kits, advertising networks, or tracking pixels. We do not embed tools that fingerprint your device or monitor your usage across other apps. What happens in your auction stays in your auction.
05Data Security
Since no personal or household data ever travels off your device, there is no transmission to intercept and no remote server to breach. Your device's own operating system-level protections (passcode, encryption at rest, app sandboxing) govern the safety of the information stored locally, the same as they would for any note you keep on your phone.
06Children's Privacy
AuctGrid is suitable for family use, including households with younger members passing the phone around the dinner table. Because the app collects no information from anyone, of any age, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children, and there is no mechanism by which it could. AuctGrid is designed to be compliant with the spirit and letter of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by simply never gathering data in the first place.
07Your Control
There are no accounts to manage and no data sitting on a server waiting to be deleted, because none exists outside your device. If you want to clear your household's auction history or start fresh, you can reset it from within the app, or remove all of it at once by deleting the app itself — nothing lingers behind.
08Changes to This Policy
If this policy is ever updated — for example, to reflect a new feature — we will revise the effective date above and post the new version within the app. Because AuctGrid does not collect contact information, we are unable to notify you individually, so we encourage an occasional check back here.
